Brian Groves, founder of Vita knows the Lloyd’s market intimately, having worked for over 25 years in Lloyd’s Corporation (the market’s governing body), five years of which was in the influential role of principal purchasing officer. While here, Brian identified, negotiated and contracted many millions of pounds worth of reciprocal business between the Lloyd’s and London Insurance markets affiliated companies and suppliers to these firms. Brian was also the chief architect in establishing and developing the extremely successful ‘Lloyd’s IT Direct’ brand and supply model. This model became the referral site for the UK Gov ‘G-Cat’ supply framework (now Catalist OGC buying-solutions) for supplying the UK government with its IT needs.

Brian has over 25 years’ experience in corporate procurement and IT business development strategy and is an active member of the Royal Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and is in daily contact with Lloyd’s key buying professionals, IT and finance directors and chief information officers.
